Follow-up: Haitian Europe’s Open House at Zhafir Deutschland was a complete success for everyone

 

For two full days, 26/27 June, 2014, Haitian Europe presented Haitian International’s full product portfolio at an in-house exhibition at Zhafir Plastics Machinery in Ebermannsdorf. In addition to the new Zeres Series, the focus of the agenda was on the Jupiter II Series, now expanded towards the lower end of clamping force sizes, and the latest project from Steffen Franz’s team of development engineers, the “ME-X Study”.

The feedback was overwhelming. Around 600 guests and partners from 16 European countries gathered and were able to get an idea of the performance capabilities from the Sino-German manufacturer of servo-hydraulic and electric injection molding machines.

At 11.30 a.m. the first tour of Zhafir’s plant premises and production halls in brilliant sunshine started. Here, with a total area of 4,500 m², is where the electric series machines of Mercury, Venus and Zeres, sizes 400 to 5,500 kN, are assembled and produced. “The perfect setting for displaying all machines ‘live’, says Uwe Baer, Managing Director of Haitian Europe GmbH.

The new Zhafir Zeres Series, the ZE1200 and the ZE2300, proved to be a real attraction. They had already caused a stir on the Europe Tour weeks earlier rewarding the distribution partners with specific enquiries and orders. Today again, the latest Zhafir brand model amazed the experts. “Of course, customers’ interests different, but they all have one thing in common: They were all surprised by the efficiency of the new Zeres”, says Stefan Auernhammer, Haitian Europe’s Sales Manager for Germany. Equally in the spotlight was a technical design combination of the Mercury and the Venus, the “ME-X Study”, which is designed to be the start-up model for the fully electric premium class and is expected to offer concrete benefits to the processor. “The ME-X is a quintessential concept for flexibility and modularity in the future”, says Steffen Franz.

While the Mercury, Venus, Zeres, Jupiter, Mars, and Iapetus Series were on view in the production hall, associate partners were showing off their latest products and solutions for peripheral machines and systems. In the Talk Lounge, presentations and lectures were held on various topics and strategic perspectives were discussed.

A big marquee with jazz music provided all visitors a relaxed setting in which to chat over a cool drink about specific projects, to exchange experiences, or to make new contacts. Here, throughout the whole day, there was intense activity, and not only for the catering service. Finally, around 6:00 p.m. interest focused increasingly on the wide-screen televisions and by the time of the kick-off of the Germany-USA World Championship game the very last seats were all occupied. At the same time, the hot buffet was opened, which included excellent Bavarian veal sausages and hearty veal shank from the grill.

Long after the end of the game, as the sun was dipping towards the horizon and the exclusively chartered buses drove up to take the still numerous guests back to their nearby hotels, and some even directly back to their home countries, it was time to draw first conclusions. These turned out to be positive, without exception: “An impressive job”, “professional organization”, and “a successful celebration” were the most frequent comments from customers and visitors. “We didn’t expect this”, was the unanimous opinion. And so the entire sales and service team was also fully happy and content. When asked for his personal assessment, a customer account manager described the atmosphere in a nutshell: “Really strenuous but also very successful”.
